Kate Salley Palmer ~ Clemson, SC

Born in Orangeburg, SC, Kate Palmer graduated from the University of SC. A resident of Clemson, she was the Editorial Page cartoonist for the Greenville News until the mid ‘80’s. In 1989, Simon & Schuster published two of her picture books for children. She went on to write and illustrate more than ten more books—one a memoir called “Growing Up Cartoonist.”

Becoming a member of BRAC in January 2022, she began painting in oils at that time.
