Bringing Art to the People
and People to the Arts
The Blue Ridge Arts Center is located in the historic district of Seneca, among the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills of upstate South Carolina. Its gallery is housed in the city’s oldest church structure (1882), which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are maintained by the Blue Ridge Arts Council, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. This original church sanctuary houses our permanent art collection as well as the Gallery. The Classroom Studios offer art classes, demonstrations, work spaces for artist members, and meeting space. The Art Library provides art reference books, videos and instructional materials in various mediums. Art classes workshops and presentations are an integral part of BRACS purpose. Brac has been sustained in the past by its generous members, donors, public and grants- and we are seeking new opportunities in the future . It is our hope that people who are interested in keeping the arts alive in our community will come forward to offer their own special gifts to the organization. As always, we are always seeking volunteers to work in areas such as Gallery docents, exhibit planning and preparation; office and typing work; membership and community outreach; sponsorship and grounds maintenance. We will also be seeking talented instructors for new classes, summer camp and workshops. CALL 727-457-5274
