About Blue Ridge Arts Center (BRAC)
Who?
The art center is maintained by the Blue Ridge Arts Council, a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a membership-based organization offering shows, events, education and promotional opportunities to our members – a diverse group of artists from all walks of life and skill levels.
BRAC is sustained by its generous members, volunteers, donors and sponsors. We are actively seeking new opportunities in the future.
What?
Blue Ridge Arts Center is committed to “Bringing Art to the People and People to the Arts”. We offer opportunities for artists to show their work in our gallery throughout the year, including an Annual Members’ Show, Juried Exhibition and various themed/invitational shows. Our classroom studio offers space for members and the community to participate in art classes, painting groups, artist demonstrations, events and meetings. The art center also houses an art library which is available to our membership and provides art reference books, videos and instructional materials in various mediums.
Where?
The Blue Ridge Arts Center is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains at 111 East South 2nd Street in the historic district of Seneca, South Carolina.
Our gallery is housed in the city’s oldest church structure (c.1882), which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Additions to the original church building allow us to house our permanent art collection, offices and classroom spaces.
