"Bringing Art to the People and People to the Arts"

Calling all artists! The time has come to share your best artworks at the 2024 Annual Regional Juried Exhibition taking place at Blue Ridge Arts Center in Seneca, SC. Submit up to four (4) pieces of your art for jurying by April 17, 2024. Selected works will be on view May 17 through June 21. All media are welcome.

2024 JUROR: BETHANY PIPKIN

South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University

Bethany Pipkin lives and works in South Carolina. She received her BFA from Clemson University and MFA in Drawing and Painting from East Carolina University. Her current work relies on the traditional methods of drawing and painting as well as new media, utilizing technologies such as the Scanning Electron Microscope. Her artwork has been featured in local, regional, and national exhibitions as well as in international publications. Pipkin teaches Foundations and Drawing and serves as Foundations Program Coordinator for the Department of Art + Design within The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to artist age 16 and up, residing in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida or Virginia.
  • Artists may submit 1-4 original works created in the last 2 years and not previously been exhibited at the Blue Ridge Arts Center.

MEDIA

Any 2D or 3D media which meet the following
criteria are welcome:

  • Gallery-wrapped canvases which are over 1” thick, may be unframed, but all edges must be painted and canvas must be wired for hanging.
  • All other 2D work must be securely framed and wired for hanging.
  • 3D work must sit solidly on a pedestal/floor or be securely mounted & wired for hanging.
  • Artwork must require no assembly
  • Jewelry must be presented in a shadow box.

ENTRY FEE

  • General Entry: $40 for 1-2 pcs
  • BRAC Members: $30 for 1-2 pcs
  • Students: $20 for 1-2 pcs

An additional 2 works can be submitted for an additional entry fee ($30 for regular entries or $20 for student entries). Entry fees are non-refundable and due when entry is submitted. Proceeds fund BRAC operating expenses.

  • Artists may choose to offer their work for sale.
  • Work must remain for the duration of the show.

  • D.F. Littlefield Memorial Award: $200
  • Faye Smith Ceramics Award: $150

Additional awards may be added.

SALES

  • Artists may offer their work for sale.
  • BRAC will retain a 35% sales commission.
  • Work must remain for the duration of the show. No early pick-ups.

EXHIBITION TIMELINE

NEW FOR 2024! All entries must be submitted through our online entry system, including images. Jurying will be done from digital images and only accepted works will be delivered to the arts center.

Optional submission assistance will be available to anyone who needs help photographing or submitting their entries online. Tutorial dates are listed below. Details about making an appointment will be provided at a later date.
