Words dominate our lives – in books, songs, speeches, poems, and more. As artists, we interpret the thoughts and feelings behind the words through paint, graphite, clay, glass and so many other mediums. For our upcoming show, we want you to select a piece of literature or a lyrical score and transform the words from a basic communication tool into your own unique artistic vision.

Submissions must be registered ONLINE no later than Noon on July 7, 2022. Works must then be dropped off at Blue Ridge Arts Center on July 8 (1-4pm) or July 9 (10am-1pm).

ENTRY FEE (for 1-2 works)

Entry fee is non-refundable and due when entry is submitted. Proceeds fund BRAC operating expenses.

  • General Entry: $35.00
  • BRAC Members: $30.00

ACCEPTED MEDIA

Any 2D or 3D media is welcome.
2D Works:

  • Work must be securely framed and wired.
  • Gallery wrapped canvases may be unframed, if all edges are finished/painted.

3D Works:

  • Must sit solidly or be mounted for hanging.
  • Artwork must require no assembly.
  • Jewelry must be presented in a shadow box.

SALES

  • Artists may choose to offer their work for sale.
  • BRAC will retain a 35% sales commission.
  • Work must remain for the duration of the show.
