Julie retired from Illinois to South Carolina 17 years ago. A former business owner, she never imagined that art would become an essential part of her life. She has been a Board member of Blue Ridge Arts since 2014, and has joined artists’ groups, taken classes and entered shows. She has explored various mediums including basketry, photography, watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylics and stained glass. “Becoming an artist has changed my life. It has taught me how to really see the world!”
