Eligibility

This is an ‘open’ show – all submitted works will be displayed and awards will be presented. Artists may submit 1-2 original works created in the last 2 years, which have not previously been exhibited at Blue Ridge Arts Center.

Entry Fee

  • General: $40 for up to 2 works
  • BRAC Members: $30 for up to 2 works
  • Students: $20 for up to 2 works

Entry fee is non-refundable and due at time of registration. Proceeds fund BRAC operating expenses.

Media

Any 2D or 3D media which meet the following criteria is welcome:

  • Gallery-wrapped canvases which are over 1” thick, may be unframed, but all edges must be finished/painted and canvas must be wired for hanging.
  • All other canvases and 2D work must be securely framed and wired for hanging.
  • 3D work must sit solidly on a pedestal/floor or be securely mounted & wired for hanging.
  • Artwork must require no assembly
  • Jewelry must be presented in a shadow box.

Awards

  • 1st Place:              $750
  • 2nd Place:             $500
  • 3rd Place:              $250
  • Merit Awards (5):  $100

Sales

  • Artists may offer their work for sale.
  • BRAC will retain a 35% sales commission.
  • Work must remain for the duration of the show.

  • Friday, July 11 (1-4pm)
  • Saturday, July 12 (10am-1pm)

Opening Reception:

  • Friday, July 18 (5:30-7pm)

Show on Display:

  • July 18 – August 22, 2025
  • Gallery Hours
    • Wednesday: 1-4pm
    • Thursday: 1-4pm
    • Friday: 1-4pm
    • Saturday: 10am-1pm

Closing Reception:

  • Friday, August 22 (5:30-7pm)

Closing reception will include an artist talk at 6pm, discussing work in the show and award winning artwork.

Artwork Pick-up:

  • Friday, August 22 (7-7:15pm)
  • Saturday, August 23 (10am-1pm)

No early pick-ups. Artwork left more than 30 days becomes the property of BRAC.

for publicity or educational purposes. Photographs of artwork and artists may also be taken during drop-off, pick-up, receptions or open gallery hours.
