Blue Ridge Arts Center

The Annual Members’ Show is open to all Blue Ridge Arts Center members who renew their memberships through August 2023. You can join or renew at the time of entry online ($35 for individual members). Each member is invited to submit 1-2 original pieces executed by the artist within the last two years and not previously shown at Blue Ridge Arts Center.It is FREE for BRAC Members to participate in the 2022 Annual Members’ Show!

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Open to any artist age 18 and up.
  • Artists may submit 1-2 original works created in the last 2 years, which have not previously been exhibited at the Blue Ridge Arts Center gallery.

MEDIA

All mediums are welcome.
2D Works:

  • Must be securely framed and wired.
  • Gallery-wrapped canvas may be unframed, but must have finished edges; all others must be framed.

3D Works:

  • Must sit solidly on a flat surface (floor or pedestal)
  • Artwork must require no assembly.

AWARDS

  • 1st Place: $300
  • 2nd Place: $100
  • Honorable Mention (2): $50
  • Betsy Barker PASTEL AWARDS
    • 1st Place – Pastels: $300
    • 2nd Place – Pastels: $100
    • Honorable Mention – Pastels (2): $50
      *Work must be 80% pure soft pastel.

PROMOTIONAL RELEASE

Artists grant BRAC and its successors the right to photograph their artwork for use in advertising BRAC both online and in print. Photos will not be sold.

SALES:

  • Artists may choose to offer their work for sale.
  • BRAC will retain a 35% sales commission.
  • Work must remain for the duration of the show.

 

  

EXHIBITION DATES

Reception: Friday, September 16 (5:30-7:00pm)

On View: September 16 – October 22

Gallery Hours:

  • Wednesday – Friday (1-4pm)
  • Saturday (10am-1pm)

ARTWORK SUBMISSION & DROP-OFF:

You must complete an ONLINE entry form no later than September 8 at Noon.

Submit Entry Online

Artwork must be dropped off at the gallery (111 E. South Second Street in Seneca):

  • Friday, September 9 (1-4pm)
  • Saturday, September 10 (10am-1pm)

ARTWORK PICK-UP

The exhibition closes October 22. Pick-up is 1-4pm on October 22 & 23. NO EARLY PICK-UP IS ALLOWED. Your work must remain in the gallery until 1pm on October 22. Artwork left longer than 30 days becomes the property of the Arts Center.
