Blue Ridge Art Center hosted Vendors
for this years Senecafest
WE HAD A GORGEOUS DAY AND MANY VISITORS.
VENDORS ARE REPORTING GOOD SALES AND A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.
THE GALLERY WAS ALSO OPEN FOR THE HISTORICAL TOURS WHICH
INCLUDED LUNNEY HOUSE AND BALLENGER HOUSE AS WELL.
About The Event:
BRAC manned two booths this year at the event -
one for sales items to benefit Blue Ridge
and the adjoining booth containing activities for kids of all ages.
We had the " Seneca Kitty Blocks" mural on which the kids were
invited to paint a cat in whatever fashion they chose;
a beading station at which key chains adorned
with bottle cap embellishments were created;
and"color a cup" station where children chose
between three designs-trains, flowers and
animals to color an insert for an insulated mug.
For participating, each child received a grab bag full of goodies like bubbles,
candy, squirt guns, superhero toys and play dough.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the activities especially the parents who were delighted to hear
that Mr Riley Johnson has offered to hang the finished result at City Hall!
Of course BRAC will also hang the mural at the gallery!
Painting a bearded cat?!!!
and grab bag distributor. For some reason, he preferred to help the girls.
Thank you to our volunteers for making this day a success:
