This is a National Juried Photography Exhibition. Show opens on March 16, 2018 and closes on April 26. The Blue Ridge Arts Center photography exhibition is open to all photographers in the United States. This exhibit is held in the Blue Ridge Arts Center Gallery, 111 E. South Second Street, Seneca South Carolina, 29678.


Originally from Philadelphia, Joan Phillips has been working in the nonprofit sector for over fourteen years. She earned a Masters of Professional Studies in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. While a student at UARTS, she was a founding member of Gallery One, the first student run University gallery in the city of Philadelphia, and was accepted to a studio internship at the Santa Fe Photographic workshops. She has exhibited in group shows across the country including, Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, Albuquerque, and Los Angeles. Joan recently moved from the Bay Area, CA to serve as the Executive Director for The Arts Center of Clemson.


Open to all artists residing in the United States. Only original artwork executed by the artist within the last two years and not previously shown in the Blue Ridge Arts Center will be considered. Finished size including framing not to exceed 30x40 inches. BRAC reserves the right to reject offensive or controversial content.

All entries must be submitted via our online submission process. You will need to upload digital images of your work along with artwork details. Payment must be paid using credit card.


All photographic processes are welcome, including:

  • Non-traditional materials and/or mixed media
  • Digital images derived from the artist’s own sources

All artists (accepted and non-accepted) will be notified via email and a list of accepted artwork will be posted on BRAC’s website.

Delivery of Accepted Work:

  Shipped work must arrive by March 10, 2018

  • March 8 or 9 (1-4pm)
  • March 10 (10am-1pm)

  March 16 through April 26, 2018

Reception & Awards:
  Friday, March 16, 2018, 5:30-7:30 pm


If your work is accepted, you will receive a notification by email by February 23, 2018, which will include delivery instructions. All shipped work must arrive at the Blue Ridge Arts Center no later than Saturday, March 10, 2018 in a sturdy reusable container. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off at Blue Ridge Arts Center on March 8 (1-4pm), March 9 (1-4pm) or March 10 (10am-1pm). All work must be ready for installation, wire hanger attached.


The exhibition closes April 26, 2018. Hand-delivered work must be picked up on April 27 (1-4pm) or April 28 (10am-1pm). Shipped work will be returned via UPS and will be insured for the stated value of the piece(s) unless specified otherwise. Shipped entries must include return UPS shipping fees or the artwork will not be returned to the artist. The gallery cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to artwork that has been left more than 30 days following posted deadlines for picking up work. Artwork left longer than 30 days becomes the property of the Blue Ridge Arts Center.


Artists may choose to offer their work for sale. BRAC will retain a 35% Sales Commission on all work sold. All work must remain for the duration of the show.
