"Bringing Art to the People and People to the Arts"

Evening with an Artist Panel

Our “Evening with an Artist” events bring artists and community members to BRAC for a casual discussion with interesting artists in our area. Local artists are invited to showcase their talent in a small group setting. Wine and refreshments will be served. Guests are able to view and discuss work directly with the artist.

Art is for Everyone – Getting Started with Art

Wednesday, October 23 ~ 7:00-9:00PM

Tickets: $20 ($15 for BRAC members)
Wine and Cheese will be served.

Have you always wanted to get into art, but are intimidated by not knowing how or where to start? We have selected a panel of Blue Ridge Arts Center members, expert artists in their fields, who will share their experience on why they love their chosen medium, how to select a medium, the costs to get started, and considerations in selecting which area to try. What better way to learn about a medium than to hear from an expert? Many of these artists also teach beginner classes at BRAC, so you can learn from those on the panel in future classes.

Each artist will have handouts, so you don’t even need to take notes. This will be a fun and informative evening that will get your creative side stirring!
