"OH, WHAT A NIGHT!"
The opening reception for Paul Dohr's eagerly anticipated one-man, off-site show at Duke's World of Energy surprised even his most ardent admirers. A plethora of support and adulation was the order of the evening at the "80 in '08" Young at Art exhibit. Paul was in fine form, welcoming old friends and meeting new ones, with attendance at well over 300 visitors for the opening. As Paul's wife, Ellie, said the following morning; "Did we dream that?" No, Ellie, it was no dream; we all honor the man and his work.
Sales for just the first evening totaled out at over $6,000, comprising both originals and prints, which were mostly sold out by 7PM. Duke's staff was in prime form, serving wine, greeting the public and providing a wonderful venue for Paul's gorgeous works of art. Wine for the reception was provided by Paul Trehearne of Salem's Wine Emporium and the delicious food was donated by Copper River in Seneca.
