2017 National Photography Exhibition

ON VIEW: MARCH 17 - APRIL 28, 2017


This is a National Juried Photography Exhibition open to all photographers in the United States. This exhibit is being held in the Blue Ridge Arts Center Gallery, located at 111 E. South Second Street in Seneca, South Carolina. The show will be on view March 17 through April 28, 2017. Opening reception will be held Friday, March 17 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.


Carrie Tomberlin is an artist and educator based in Asheville, North Carolina. She has been a practicing artist for over two decades, regularly exhibiting her photography nationally and internationally. Prior to her career as an educator, she worked with several non-profit organizations including the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. Carrie received her MFA in photography from Clemson University and currently teaches photography and visual culture at University of North Carolina Asheville where she also serves as Gallery Director.

    3rd Place: $200
    Merit Awards (2): $100 each


Artists may choose to offer their work for sale. BRAC will retain a 35% Sales Commission on all work sold. All work must remain for the duration of the show.


If your work is accepted, you will receive notification via email by February 23, 2017, which will include delivery instructions. All accepted work must arrive at the Blue Ridge Arts Center no later than Saturday, March 11, 2017. Work must be ready for installation, wire hanger attached. All hand delivered work may be delivered to the Blue Ridge Arts Center during regular Gallery Hours: Wed-Fri (1:00-4:00pm) and Sat (9:00am-Noon).


The exhibition closes April 28, 2017. All hand delivered work must be picked up no later than Friday, May 5, 2017 during regular gallery hours. Shipped work must arrive by March 11, 2017 in a sturdy reusable container. Shipped entries must include return shipping fees or the artwork will not be returned to the artist.

The gallery cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to artwork that has been left more than 30 days following posted deadlines for picking up work. Artwork left longer than 30 days becomes the property of the Blue Ridge Arts Center.
